Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
My Approach
My approach is collaborative, and I believe that therapists and clients are partners in the therapeutic process. I offer a warm and safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. My approach helps you step back from unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping tools, and reconnect with your values—so that you can create meaningful change and experience more peace and calm. I am confident that together we can navigate what's difficult and reconnect to the good parts of life.
Modalities
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps you build a relationship with your thoughts and feelings rather than getting stuck fighting them. By clarifying what matters most to you and practicing acceptance, ACT supports you in creating a life guided by your values instead of by anxiety, stress, or fear.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy uses present-moment awareness to reduce stress and calm the nervous system. By learning to observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment, you can develop more balance, resilience, and self-compassion in daily life.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories and experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming. Through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR allows you to heal from past experiences and feel more grounded and at ease in the present.
