Postpartum & Anxiety Therapy in San Diego, CA
Virtual Therapy available throughout California
Bring the Messy. You’re Safe Here.
Therapy for adults who are done pretending that they’re fine.
You’ve gotten really good at holding everything together. Or at least looking like you do.
You’re the one who remembers the appointment, keeps the plans even when you’re exhausted, responds to the text (and feels guilty when you don’t), and somehow makes sure everyone is fed, bathed, and asleep while your own dinner gets cold. You replay conversations, second-guess your decisions, say “yes” when you really mean “no,” and keep wondering if you’re doing enough.
And somewhere along the way, taking care of yourself became the thing you’d get to eventually. When things calm down. When there’s less to do. When everyone else is okay.
But there will always be something.
NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!
I offer morning and daytime appointments at my office in Sorrento Valley, San Diego, as well as virtual therapy for adults located anywhere in California.
In-Person Therapy in San Diego, CA
Located in Sorrento Valley, one-on-one therapy for feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, rage, and guilt. For parents and non-parents.
Virtual Therapy In California
Virtual one-on-one therapy for people-pleasers, perfectionists, and high-achievers navigating pregnancy, postpartum, or other life transitions.
You know you can handle it. That doesn't mean you should have to.
✦ You’re constantly overthinking, replaying conversations, and wondering if you said or did something dumb—and now all you can think about is what they’re going to say.
✦ You’re overwhelmed and exhausted. You desperately need a break, but instead of resting, you make a list of everything you need to do—the dirty dishes in the sink, the pile of laundry on the couch…but have I had any water today?
✦ You can’t remember the last time you did something just because you wanted to—not because someone needed you to. And somehow, taking time for yourself feels selfish.
✦ You put so much pressure on yourself to get everything right that even when you’re doing your best, you still worry you’re letting people down and failing.
✦ Even when things are going well, part of you is just waiting for something to go wrong—for the other shoe to drop.
You don’t have to keep pushing through or carrying it all on your own. You deserve a place where you can finally put some of it down.
Maybe you haven’t lost yourself. Maybe you’ve just been putting yourself last for a really long time.
Imagine moving from:
⟡ A mind that never slows down
→ To feeling calmer and more grounded in the present
⟡ Feeling overwhelmed by everything on your plate
→ Trusting yourself and your decisions
⟡ Feeling disconnected from yourself and the people you love
→ Feeling more present, connected, and able to show up for the people and things that matter most.
⟡ Constantly second-guessing yourself and wondering if you’re doing enough
→ To feeling more confident in your choices and less controlled by self-doubt
⟡ Being hard on yourself when things don’t go as planned
→ To treating yourself with more patience, compassion, and understanding
Meet Koalani Lahr, LMFT
Postpartum & Anxiety Therapist in San Diego, CA
In-Person Therapy in San Diego + Virtual Therapy Throughout California.
Aloha, I’m Koalani. I work with adults who are used to holding everything together—the ones who show up for everyone else, keep pushing through, and rarely make space for themselves. But underneath it all, you may feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or wonder why things feel so hard.
I know how easy it is to lose yourself while caring for everyone else. That’s why I believe healing doesn’t come from trying harder or doing more. It comes from slowing down, making space for what you’re carrying, and learning to respond to yourself with the same kindness you so freely offer everyone else.
Therapy is a space where you don’t have to have it all together. A place where you can feel supported, understood, and able to slow down and reconnect with what matters most.
Meaningful Therapy For Authentic Living
Therapy Services
THERAPY FOR PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM
You expected this season to feel different, but instead you're overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or wondering why it feels so hard. Whether you're navigating infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, birth trauma, or the transition into parenthood, you don't have to carry it alone.
THERAPY FOR ANXIETY
Your mind never seems to turn off—you replay conversations, second-guess yourself, and feel responsible for keeping everything together. Together, we'll help you quiet the overthinking, ease the pressure, and feel more grounded and confident.
MULTICULTURAL & BIPOC THERAPY
You shouldn't have to explain or minimize the parts of your identity that shape your experience. Together, we'll honor your cultural background, lived experiences, and values while creating space for healing that feels authentic to you.
MINDFULNESS THERAPY
When your mind is constantly racing, it's easy to get stuck in self-criticism, worry, and overwhelm. Mindfulness helps you slow down, respond with intention instead of reacting, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
